Lawmakers are finally trying to do something about the deepfake mess AI companies created — proposing a bill to crack down on deepfake distribution and protect whistleblowers who expose AI abuses. Because apparently we needed legislation to establish that spreading AI-generated fake content is bad. Better late than never, Congress.
