Microsoft Copilot suggested an Australian MP reply 'congratulations!' to a terminally ill constituent who wrote about ending his life through voluntary assisted dying. Nothing says 'empathetic governance' like letting an AI autocomplete your way through life-and-death correspondence. At least the MP had the sense to not hit send — unlike Microsoft, which keeps shipping this stuff.
