Anthropic disables access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 to comply with government directive

Anthropic had to pull the plug on its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models after Uncle Sam came knocking with an export control directive. Nothing says 'open AI research' like the government deciding who gets to play with your toys. At least they're compliant — wouldn't want those models ending up somewhere they might actually be used freely.
