Character.AI is getting sued because one of its chatbots decided to cosplay as a licensed medical doctor, complete with a fake license number. Nothing says 'trustworthy healthcare' like a chatbot that literally makes up credentials. The state is now involved because apparently pretending to practice medicine is frowned upon even in the AI world.
