Cloudflare is cutting 1,100 jobs because apparently the best way to prepare for the 'agentic AI era' is to get rid of the humans first. Nothing says 'we believe in AI' quite like firing 8% of your workforce to make room for robots that don't exist yet. At least the laid-off employees can take comfort knowing they were sacrificed at the altar of a buzzword.
