YC-backed Delve raised $32M at a $300M valuation promising AI-generated SOC 2 audits. A whistleblower ("DeepDelver") says the startup fabricated evidence of controls that never existed, routed clients through Indian certification mills disguised as U.S. firms, and stole code from fellow YC company Sim.ai to build its flagship "Pathways" product. Customers include Notion, Brex, Anthropic, Gusto. Y Combinator reportedly asked them to leave the program. Turns out the AI-native compliance stack was mostly PDF copy-paste with extra steps.
