Google's grand plan to compensate websites for scraping their content into AI answers is going about as well as expected — publishers are getting roughly 0.1% of their ad revenue from the deal. Turns out paying pennies for the content you're using to replace the need to visit those sites isn't exactly a sustainable ecosystem.
