Intuit is giving over 3,000 employees the boot so it can "refocus on AI" — corporate speak for replacing humans with chatbots that will inevitably hallucinate your tax returns. CEO Sasan Goodarzi promises this will "reduce complexity," which is one way to describe mass unemployment. Nothing says innovation like firing thousands of people to fund the machines that'll eventually file everyone's taxes wrong.
