Major publishers sue Meta for copyright infringement over AI training

Five major publishers including Hachette, Macmillan, and Elsevier are suing Meta for allegedly pirating millions of books and journal articles to train its Llama AI models. Apparently 'move fast and break things' now extends to copyright law. Nothing says 'we respect creators' like feeding their life's work into a model without asking.
