Florida cops apparently decided a 93% match from facial recognition AI was close enough to skip actual detective work, leading to a wrongful arrest and now a lawsuit. The plaintiff's lawyers nailed it: police let an error-prone algorithm do the investigating for them. Nothing says 'protect and serve' like outsourcing probable cause to software that's wrong 7% of the time.
