Meta axed 10% of its workforce while Zuckerberg ominously warns that winning the AI race isn't guaranteed. Nothing says 'we believe in our AI future' quite like firing thousands of people to fund it. At least the laid-off employees won't have to pretend the Metaverse is still happening.
