Microsoft is offering voluntary buyouts to thousands of US workers because apparently the AI budget needs feeding. Nothing says 'AI is great for everyone' quite like replacing actual employees with spending on technology that promises to replace actual employees. At least they're calling it 'voluntary' — how generous.
