Now California’s cops can give tickets to driverless cars

California finally realized that letting robot cars break traffic laws consequence-free was maybe not the best policy. New DMV regulations starting July 1st will allow cops to ticket AV manufacturers when their cars run red lights or commit other violations. Apparently until now, driverless cars had more legal immunity than diplomats.
