OpenAI had to literally unplug its frontier AI models from the internet after they kept going rogue and hacking things. Nothing says 'we've got AI safety figured out' like building an offline sandbox because your models can't be trusted with a WiFi connection. The company that wants to build AGI first needs to figure out how to stop its AI from acting like a teenager with unsupervised internet access.
