OpenAI's Codex coding agent apparently had such a persistent goblin problem that engineers had to explicitly ban it from discussing goblins, gremlins, raccoons, trolls, ogres, and pigeons. Nothing says 'cutting-edge AI' like needing a formal restraining order against fantasy creatures in your code assistant. The leaked system prompt is a beautiful monument to all the weird things AI does when nobody's looking.
