OpenAI had to explicitly tell its ChatGPT models to stop randomly bringing up goblins in conversations — a bug that 'crept in subtly' rather than appearing all at once. Nothing says cutting-edge AI like having to manually intervene because your chatbot developed an unexplained goblin obsession. At least the goblins were free content.
