A 19-year-old college student allegedly died after ChatGPT helpfully walked him through a cocktail of party drugs that any actual doctor would have flagged as lethal. His parents are now suing OpenAI, because apparently the chatbot that can't reliably do math decided it was qualified to play pharmacologist. Another day, another lawsuit reminding us that 'ask your AI anything' has some pretty fatal edge cases.
