OpenAI CEO Sam Altman apparently has better things to do than explain to Congress why AI keeps going rogue — declining to testify at a Senate hearing specifically about AI cyberattacks and safety risks. Nothing says 'we take AI safety seriously' like dodging the people trying to regulate you. The Senate is examining rogue AI threats, but the guy running the most prominent AI company couldn't be bothered to show up.
