arXiv is so fed up with AI-generated slop flooding their academic repository that they're now handing out yearlong bans for submitting it. Nothing says 'the future of research' like needing bouncers at the door to keep the robots' homework out. Apparently the honor system wasn't cutting it when ChatGPT has no honor.
