Snap Inc is cutting 1,000 workers — about 16% of its workforce — and conveniently blaming 'rapid advancements in artificial intelligence' rather than, say, its tanking stock price and activist investors breathing down its neck. Nothing says 'we value our people' like using AI as a corporate euphemism for 'you're fired.' At least the layoff memo probably wasn't written by ChatGPT... or was it?
