Snapchat owner cuts 1,000 jobs as says AI will reduce repetitive work

Snap just axed 1,000 employees — about 16% of its workforce — because apparently AI can handle all that 'repetitive work' humans were doing. Nothing says 'we value our team' quite like replacing them with algorithms and calling it efficiency. The company also pulled hundreds of open job postings, so don't bother applying either.
