A story that appears to be AI-generated won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, published by prestigious literary magazine Granta. Apparently the literary world's rigorous editorial standards couldn't distinguish machine slop from human creativity. Nothing says 'prestigious award' like handing a prize to what looks like a ChatGPT essay with a fancy title.
