A New Jersey deputy attorney general — literally someone whose job is to prosecute criminals — got busted for using AI to generate child sexual abuse material on Discord. Nothing says 'public servant' like a guy with the handle 'thegentlemanpervert' using cutting-edge technology to create the most vile content imaginable. The AI safety debate just got a whole lot more uncomfortable when the people making the laws are the ones breaking them.
