Arizona State University is beta-testing a tool called ASU Atomic that chops up professor lectures into bite-sized clips and lets AI remix them into "learning materials" — because why respect the expertise of actual educators when you can feed their work into a content blender? Faculty are understandably disturbed that their carefully crafted lectures are being diced up without meaningful consent and turned into AI-generated slop. Nothing says "we value our professors" like automating them into irrelevance one clip at a time.
