The US government filed a brief siding with OpenAI, arguing that hoovering up copyrighted works to train AI is just fine for national competitiveness. Nothing says 'robust AI industry' like telling creators their work is free training data for billion-dollar companies. At least they're being upfront about whose side they're on.
