US trade regulator opens investigation into AI giants including Anthropic and OpenAI

The FTC is launching an industry-wide investigation into Anthropic, OpenAI, and other AI labs over the dangers their tech poses to consumers — marking the first official US enforcement action on rogue AI agents.
