Waymo robotaxis repeatedly blow past school buses full of children

The NTSB opened a federal investigation into Waymo after its self-driving cars illegally passed stopped school buses with flashing lights at least 20 times in Austin, Texas. The school district asked Waymo to suspend operations during pickup and drop-off hours. Waymo recalled 3,000+ vehicles in December 2025 to update the faulty software.
